Overview

Moon drop chu II in Egypt

The Moondrop Chu II is a benchmark sub-budget in-ear monitor built around a single 10mm dynamic driver with an aluminium-magnesium alloy composite diaphragm, an ultra-thin 0.03mm CCAW voice coil and an N52 magnet. Voiced to Moondrop's VDSF target, it delivers a balanced, natural sound - clear and detailed with good impact and very low distortion, never bright or harsh.

The headline upgrade over the original Chu is a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin cable, so the Chu II is now serviceable and upgradeable - you can fit an upgrade cable, a mic cable or a Bluetooth adapter whenever you like. It ships with Moondrop's spring tips and a tidy accessory set, and at 18 ohm and 119 dB/Vrms it drives easily from any phone or dongle.

Comfortable, well-isolating and remarkably capable for the money, it is one of the easiest first IEMs to recommend. Delivered across Egypt with cash on delivery.

Questions

Moon drop chu II — frequently asked

Does the Moondrop Chu II need an amplifier?+

No. At 18 ohm and 119 dB/Vrms it plays loud and clean from any phone, laptop or USB-C dongle. No amplifier required.

How is the Chu II different from the original Chu?+

The biggest change is the detachable 0.78mm 2-pin cable, so you can upgrade or replace it, along with refined tuning and accessories. The original had a fixed cable.

What does it sound like?+

Balanced and natural, tuned to Moondrop's VDSF target - clear and detailed with good impact and very low distortion, without being bright or harsh.

Is it a single driver or a hybrid?+

A single 10mm alloy-composite dynamic driver per side, which gives a coherent, natural sound.

Does it have a microphone?+

Yes, if you choose the mic-cable version - it adds an inline microphone for calls and gaming. The plain version is audio-only, and you can add a mic later with any 0.78mm 2-pin mic cable.

Is it good for gaming?+

Yes - the clean, balanced tuning keeps footsteps and cues clear, and it is comfortable for long sessions. Use your PC or console mic, or add a mic cable.

Can I upgrade or replace the cable?+

Yes. The 0.78mm 2-pin connector is a universal enthusiast standard, so you can fit upgrade cables, balanced cables, or a Bluetooth adapter.

Which ear tips should I use?+

Size for a firm seal first. Wider-bore tips open the treble; foam tips add isolation and warmth.

Do I need to burn it in?+

No. Any change from burn-in is subtle, so you can use it straight out of the box.

What is included and what is the warranty?+

The earphones, a detachable 2-pin cable, spring tips and a pouch. Backed by 14-day cover against product defects with genuine-unit verification and cash on delivery across Egypt.
