The Truthear Hexa is a 4-driver hybrid in-ear monitor engineered for listeners who value accuracy and resolution over hype. Does the Truthear Hexa need an amplifier?+

No. At 20.5 ohm and 120 dB/Vrms it plays loud and clean from phones, laptops and USB-C dongles. A small DAC dongle improves clarity and drive but is not required.

Which ear tips should I use?+

Wide-bore tips open the treble and soundstage, narrow-bore tips add warmth and body, and foam tips increase isolation while taming treble. Try all three — the Hexa's tonal balance shifts noticeably with tips.

Is the Hexa good for gaming?+

Yes, for detail and positional cues such as footsteps and gunfire, thanks to its separation and imaging. Note it has no microphone — use your PC or console mic, or swap to a 0.78mm 2-pin cable with an inline mic.
