Castor Pro 2

10 mm planar + 10 mm dynamic

KZ specifies one 10 mm planar magnetic driver and one 10 mm dynamic driver in each shell.

Faceplate print

The store photo prints Castor Pro 2 and Quad Planar Magnetic on the faceplate. The driver count on KZ's page is the planar-plus-dynamic pair above, not four planar drivers.

Four physical switches

Each shell has four physical tuning switches. KZ does not publish a decibel step for each switch on Castor Pro 2, so this page does not print one.

Not the older Castor chart

The switch levels from the earlier Castor Pro are a different model. They are not reused here.

2-pin shells

The store photo shows a two-pin socket on the shell. A pin diameter is not printed on this listing.

KZ sells the cable as detachable. This draft listing is a single variant and does not name 3.5 mm, USB-C, a microphone or a colour.

No Bluetooth in the base set

A Bluetooth earhook is an optional add-on on KZ's own configurator. It is not part of this listing.

Black and silver in the photo

The product photo shows a black shell and a silver shell. This listing does not offer them as separate options.

Vented shell

The photo shows a mesh vent on the face.

Around-ear cable

KZ describes an ergonomic shell and an over-ear cable layout.

Wired unless you add a hook

The earphones themselves are wired. Wireless needs the separate AE01-style add-on, which this listing does not include.

Set both sides the same

The four switches are physical. Match left and right if you change them.

Castor Pro 2 —

What drivers are in Castor Pro 2?+

KZ's page specifies one 10 mm planar magnetic driver and one 10 mm dynamic driver per side. The faceplate in the store photo also reads Quad Planar Magnetic. That print is not counted here as four planar drivers.

What do the four switches do?+

They are physical tuners on the shell. KZ has not published a decibel value for each switch on Castor Pro 2, so this page does not invent one and does not reuse the older Castor Pro chart.

Is the plug 3.5 mm or USB-C?+

KZ offers both on its own configurator, with or without a microphone. This Nyvrix listing is one variant and does not name the plug or the mic.

Is Bluetooth included?+

No. KZ treats a Bluetooth earhook as an optional add-on. It is not in this listing.

Which colour is it?+

The photo shows black and silver shells. This listing does not split colour into options.

What pin does the shell use?+

The photo shows a 2-pin socket. A 0.75 mm or 0.78 mm figure is not printed on this page.

How should the cable sit?+

Over the ear, in the usual in-ear layout KZ describes for this model.

Is this the older Castor Pro?+

No. Castor Pro 2 is the later model with the planar-plus-dynamic pair. Its switch page is not the older measured chart.

Does it cancel noise?+

No playback noise cancelling. Isolation is the ear tip seal.
